Truth about backpacking:
Most comfort-enhancing "necessities" that you acquire from your local "spend money here so you feel outdoorsy" store become comfort-reducers when you actually strap them to your back.

I'm in the middle of reading the funniest book I've ever read in my life.
Now, I don't read many funny books, but I've laugh out loud (lol...to the lay person) eleven times.
I don't even laugh out loud during most comedic movies unless my friends laugh first.
"A Walk In The Woods" by Bill Bryson.
Not a necessity, but enjoyable to say the least.

What to do when you feel stale or run down:
-read through the sentences you underlined in those old books...there was a reason for that.
-exercise.
-have a unique and healthy meal...the local hole-in-the-wall Greek place is my favorite.
-read the Bible out loud.
-turn up worship music really loud...actually thinking about the words seems to help me.
-immediately get one thing checked off on your list.
-get organized...it might just be that time...no, it is time to clean it up.
-encourage someone who isn't expecting it.
-forgive someone.
-give something away..."Poverty is the door to freedom. It is there where we know there is nothing in ourselves worth defending."
-have an extended period of solitude.
-call on the name of Jesus.
-force yourself to think of a unique activity to do with your friends.
-walk outside and just look around for a few minutes.
