This sentence came into discussion while talking with a group of friends that meets at my house on Monday nights:

"Set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ."

Did you catch that?
Do you realize what we've done? ("Dumb and Dumber" emphasis added)
I believe that we have done the exact opposite.
The above idea states that through seeing Jesus we will be given grace and, as a result, gain hope.
However, that is not what we do, is it?
Our minds have set up a different formula.
In our longing for hope we have tried to gain grace and wondered where Jesus will fit in.
Do you see the difference?
The process must begin with seeing Jesus, not with our need to feel satisfied in our circumstances.
Hope will forever remain a circumstantial feeling unless it stands on a foundation other than ourselves...a foundation that is actually hopeful.
